Comprehensive Medical Insurance

When travelling abroad by cruise or other travel, comprehensive medical insurance is extremely important. Coverage of available policies varies greatly. There are many points to consider. Some 'insurance' such as Medicare and Medicaid provide very limited (or no) coverage while many cruise-line policies only provide coverage while aboard. This means that if you are off the ship except as part of a cruise-line organized excursion, you may not be covered.

For a policy one should at least consdier:

• Evacuation insurance. This provides evacuation in case of a medical emergency.

• Cancellation Protection Plans may include insurance.

Shopping around for various policies can get better coverage or save signifcant amounts of money.
