Re: Catching up
I haven't seen any of the newer Ghostbusters movies, but I've heard that the more recent ones (not the lady cast) are pretty good. I'm certainly hoping my older son can find his SO while I'm still young enough to enjoy grandchildren. For that matter, I wish they all would. You reach a point with adu...

Re: Catching up
So great to hear from you, HH, and many congrats to your grandaunt on her birthday! I've never been to Universal, but everybody around here says it's superior to Disney World. I haven't been to Disney World since before I was married, so I can't talk about what it might be like now. Each of my kids ...

Re: Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee
Lol. I'd be very surprised if that were true. It would be nice for the folks in that town if it were, though.

Oh, how pretty! Is that pink dogwood? Probably not. I believe it has too many petals. It's very pretty, though.

Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee
There is a town in Macon County, Tennessee, called Red Boiling Springs. The county is on the border with Kentucky. For about a century, from the early 1800s to the early 1900s, it was a resort town for people who wished to take mineral waters and mineral baths for their health. At one time it had ov...

Re: How the Irish Celebrate St Patrick's Day
It's funny how much little lights in a shady area can cheer a person up.
Yesterday at the grocery store, I noticed the pharmacy still had a tabletop tree up. It had eggs all over its branches and bunny ears for a tree topper.

Re: How the Irish Celebrate St Patrick's Day
Lol. Yes, especially if you use salad dressing as a dip. My husband was sad to come home and find the tree down. He said next year he wants me to keep it up through the end of the school year. But he didn't notice until he'd been home for several hours, which tells me he had already gone blind to it.

Re: How the Irish Celebrate St Patrick's Day
I think it would be great on lots of stuff. Last night I was considering doing it for steamed carrots, maybe at Easter. Unfortunately, several in my family don't like cooked vegetables. My husband prefers almost everything raw. I get tired of that, though. Many years ago a friend gave me a recipe fo...

Re: Make Money from your Halloween Site
I'm a bad prepper. I hear all the time about how we should have those emergency kits, but I don't do it. The most I ever do is check on the fire exits when I check into a hotel.

Re: How the Irish Celebrate St Patrick's Day
Lol. Yes, it was good. One stick of butter, the juice of one lemon, and dried dill, parsley, and onion powder. It was supposed to have fresh green onions, but I forgot to buy them, so the onion powder substituted. The little Irish cookbook I use calls this Irish Herbed Potatoes. I'm not sure it's un...

Re: Make Money from your Halloween Site
Wow. That wouldn't be a bad idea for any of us, actually. It could be useful in case of fire, for example.

Re: How the Irish Celebrate St Patrick's Day
Happy St Patrick's for those who observe it! We had our meal last night, I guess. We ate pork chops, small red potatoes, and asparagus. The potatoes and asparagus had a lemon butter herb sauce. It was good. Our daughter, who refuses pork, opted for a kale salad instead. I don't have many Irish movie...
