A dark day for us all!

Apparently this happened several days ago but I just heard about it at lunch...CHRISTOPHER LEE HAS DIED!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I honestly thought he would make it to 100. It should be an international day of mourning for all Pumpkinheads as our Master has left this earth :( Christopher Lee 5/27/22--6/7...

Re: Finally got to go on my dream vacation: Salem, Ma. in Oc

Oh how cool that you went to a pumpkin festival. I tried to talk my sister into taking a little day trip to Sleepy Hollow, but after about 24 hours, we decided we were not interested in driving any more than necessary. Little shock to our systems because traffic laws didn't seem to apply up there lo...

And finally we have our Hocus Pocus shots. I'm sure I don't need to elaborate :D http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b619/thegreatpumpkin56/Salem/MaxandDanisHouse_zps3e08cfa9.jpg http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/b619/thegreatpumpkin56/Salem/AllisonsHouse_zps97db5bac.jpg http://i1294.photobucket.c...

Re: Finally got to go on my dream vacation: Salem, Ma. in Oc

Next up are photos from The Burying Point which is a large cemetery near the memorial, The Grimshaw House (Nathanial Hawthorne's wife lived here and it is supposedly haunted by a young boy who once lived there and was mistakenly buried alive. He is buried in the cemetery you see.) and the Witch Muse...

Chime in whenever you're ready, Red Baron :) There's a wonderful chance you're a better photographer than me (most people are)... Okay here we go pumpkin heads. First we have the Witch House. None of the trials actually took place here. It was the home of Judge Hathorne who presided over the trials....

Re: Finally got to go on my dream vacation: Salem, Ma. in Oc

Well Pumpkin heads you are in luck. I have pics of both Max and Dani's house (yes it's on Ocean Ave) and of Allison's mansion (Essex St). Also have pics of where Thackery's little village was filmed. The Sanderson sister house was in need of repairs so it was kind of off limits but I understand next...

Re: Disney's Halloween Treat

I remember that one. It was narrated by a jack o lantern and it seems like the opening was a bunch of dancing skeletons and I think one of the cartoons was Donald Duck and Huey, Dewey, and Louie vs an escaped gorilla from the zoo. I periodically check on it from time to time to see if it might be re...

Re: Favorite not-scary Halloween shows

I agree with Hocus Pocus and Hotel Transylvania. I also liked Frankenweenie. There's a fun show on the food network every Sunday in October called Halloween Wars which is awesome (and I normally hate that channel). It's a competition show where 5 teams made up of a pumpkin carver, a cake artist and ...

Re: Finally got to go on my dream vacation: Salem, Ma. in Oc

You're kidding! I was just there too! Got back yesterday. Were you there for the parade last Thursday? We were told that the parade kicks off 4 consecutive weeks of Halloween in Salem. How crazy! We might have run into each other or gone to the same attractions at the same time :o Oh hey and you're ...

Re: Froggy's and old foggers

So how did it work with your old fogger, Spooky? You just used a basic fogger, right? Or did you actually use a ground fogger with an ice chamber? I looked up the cryofreeze just now and noticed a few others--ever heard/seen/tried the Bog Fog Extreme High Denisity Fog juice or Swamp Juice? I'm tempt...

Re: When do you start hankering for Halloween?

My goodness, Mike. Perhaps you should move down south. We have pretty mild winters (no snow shoveling here :D ). There are some bitterly cold snaps but then it goes back to being livable. Plus you could probably ride your motorcycle year round... We could always use another Pumpkinhead around here!

Re: Are there any Boston Pumpkinheads out there?

We were actually talking about taking a day to drive to Sleepy Hollow. I think it's about 2 hours from Salem if I'm remembering correctly. We'll be flying into Boston though--not interested in a road trip from TX to MA 8)

Are there any Boston Pumpkinheads out there?

Hey Pumpkinheads! So my sister and I are strongly considering a trip to Salem this fall. Neither of us has ever been that far north so we could use a bit of guidance. If there is anyone familiar with this area (primarily places to stay) and they would like to share their wisdom, it would be greatly ...

uh oh...

I saw this morning where Shirley Temple died. These things come in threes so I suggest we all hold hands and form a protective circle around Christopher Lee.

I could use some help coming up with a name...

Hey Pumpkinheads,

I'm building a scarecrow monster this year and am in need of a good creepy name for it. I may enter it into a contest if I get it done in time, but it has to have a name. Anyone have any ideas? I'd appreciate any help in this area. Thanks!
