Solar Eclipse! Some viewing tips if you don't have the special glasses.
No eclipse glasses? No problem! You can take a piece of paper like card stock or an index card and punch a tiny hole in it. Then hold it over the other piece of paper and watch the shadow of the eclipse that way. Apparently kitchen colanders or cheese graters work too or something with holes in it t...

Re: Are y'all ready for Easter?
Happy Easter everyone! Nice decorations Andy! Thrift stores are some of the best places to find stuff. I didn't really have much time to decorate for easter this year. It snuck up on me. XD Oh well. I got to put a few things up at work at least, just some cut outs of bunnies and eggs that I made in ...

Re: G Fuel
Is an energy drink, Murf. They have their own unique signature flavors, but they also do collaborations with different brands and fandoms. Of course, finding the Sonic the Hedgehog ones were what drew me to try their line of drinks. But I figured it would be cool to share the horror theme ones...

Re: How the Irish Celebrate St Patrick's Day
I remember working with a guy who said he visited Ireland. I heard that in Ireland St Patrick's day is more of a solemn and perhaps sacred tradition than it is here in the US. I also heard the traditional color was blue, not green. In the US it feels more like a huge party, but it also celebrates Ir...

Re: Easter Bunny Lore: What's your favorite version?
I know this is an old thread...but to be fair they did have the bunny man legend here in Virginia. It's hard for me to associate the Easter bunny with something horrific though. I thought about making a thread for favorite Easter movies, but I guess I kind of already did that here. I've seen s...

Are y'all ready for Easter?
I think we are! I picked up some Easter candy. Planning a nice low key Easter at home this year with my boyfriend. I feel like Dollar Tree is a great place for decorations, even if they raised their prices to $1.25 you still find a lot of neat stuff in there. I found a few things. They're really get...

Re: Happy Pi Day!
Oh yeah the convention was great! I got to meet the legendary Jim Cummings! That guy is awesome, he's voiced so many cartoons over the years. He's even dubbed himself "The voice of your childhood." And he's right, he's voice Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, The Tazmanian Devil, Darkwing Duck an...

Howdy! I apologize for not being as active. Just been busy here.
But now I'm on Easter break, so I should have some time to pop in and say hello.

Hello and welcome back!
Hopefully we'll see more people rise from their proverbial crypts and come back to the site.
I guess I've been busy myself after the major holidays are over.

Happy Pi Day!
Happy Pi day! I'm celebrating by having a slice of pie from Burger King. They are giving away free slices with a purchase. But there are other ways to celebrate. :) Like baking a pie, buying a pie, eating pizza (which is like a pie but savory) and so many other ways. But what is this relatively new ...

Promoting my book: Sky Kingdom
Anyone have any advice on how I can promote my story? I would put this under Halloween writing or another part of the forum but it's not really relevant to Halloween. The story is called Sky Kingdom, likely the working title will be "The Chronicles of Ark'eth: Sky Kingdom" since the story ...

Re: When are you planning to decorate for Christmas this year?
I'm finally getting some Christmas stuff outside taken down. But the inflatables need to dry out. Snow finally melted and it's the weekend, so it's a good time to do it. Unless it rains...then well. I might have to just put them somewhere to hang and dry. Hoping to get a Valentine's display up soon ...

Re: When are you planning to decorate for Christmas this year?
I guess white Christmases have been a rare treat for you, Murf. Having grown up in upstate New York almost every Christmas was a White Christmas. I guess for me, I took that for granted. I just figured Christmas was such a magical time of year we had to have them. It was hard to imagine not having t...

Re: Check out my website
Thanks, Murf! I hope your daughter likes it.
It's not much right now, but hopefully it'll provide a way for me to create a portfolio and get some writing practice in.
