lighting control timers

Post by tanapier4 » Sat Sep 25, 2010 8:04 pm

We are hoping to have the lighting and some of the motor controls for our fromt yard on programable timers this year and are looking at purchasing one from Chauvet, its the only set up we can find under 100 bucks. But I am wondering if anyone knows to how to make a setup or if you can hack the timers from the hardware store to have settings for as low as 20 seconds? any info will be helpfull!
thanks

I bought a couple of the holiday light timers from Lowes a few years back, but I don't think they'd be anywhere near precise enough to do 20 seconds.

The timer I got with my fog machine makes it go off every 20 seconds, maybe something like that. I would also try a hobby shop, or a model train shop, they might have one.

Extra point if you know the movie. :)

I am sure it will fly right over some heads.
