Favorite Seasonal Horror?

Post by iHaunt » Thu Dec 02, 2010 3:36 pm

What will you be watching this fair and lovely Christmas?

Personally, the original Black Christmas does it for me. It's got the snow, the Carol singers, the coming together of good friends and family over a glass or two of whisky. Oh yes, and I almost forgot... it's got a deranged twisted psycho killer that likes to butcher people in their beds.

I'm more of a traditionalist, so on Christmas Eve I am going to watch "The Nativity," and on Christmas Day I may screen "It's a Wonderful Life," but on the thursday before Christmas Eve, I am going to make it a deranged triple feature:

1. "Silent Night, Deadly Night" This is about a "Santa Clause" who's an axe murderer

2. "Black Christmas" Yes, this is a very twisted holiday film, and it's the proto type of the "Halloween" franchise, as well as most all other "slasher" flicks.

3. "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Last, but by no means least, I alternate every year screaning this film. In odd number years, I screen it on Halloween, and in even number years, I screen it at Christmas time, because it qualifies as both a Halloween and Christmas story.

Yes, right!

Silent Night, Deadly Night is cool movie! :D

Also, The Nightmare Before Christmas is great movie for children and adults, too! ;)

Hey, how about Santa Slayer? Yes, that's true. I've seen it once before, but I really didn't like it. :?

I heard of it, but I never saw it befor. It's a very hard one to find on Netflix or at the video store.

Santa Slayer was first came out in 2006, and I rented it from Blockbuster video store. Honestly, I really didn't like this movie. Not so sure if all video stores are carrying that movie anymore at all. It's very, very low budget movie.

Ok, I'm sorry, Mike.... The film for Santa Slayer is not the right title. It's "Santa's Slay", and it was made in 2005. :) it's only a short film because the run time is one hour and 18 minutes.

By the way, I've seen a weird movie last year... it's called "The Christmas Tale" which was made in 2005 and the run time is one hour and 16 minutes. It was okay.... I hardly to remember about this, I believe it's about some kids picking on a female Santa Claus, pushed her into a deep ground hole and she was stuck there. She asked the kids for a help, or else she will kill them all. I should have to watch it again.
