well, after 4-5 days of back issues, last night about 4am I couldnt get up off the floor. I had managed to get down on the floor (took about 3 min to get there and needed the wifes help) and thought maybe laying on a flat surface might help fix my back, I couldnt get back up. So after several painful minutes I decided I had had enough. We woke up all the kids (poor things) and got them all dressed and piled them in the car, I "walked" to the car with my wife as a crutch and off we went to the ER. The ER was empty, thank God because I was dying sitting up in that wheelchair, and I got to a room pretty quickly and was able to lay down on a exam table and take the weight off my spine. The good news is that I got to watch a few episodes of Threes Company while I waited for the Dr. After the exam I was given a narcotic shot in my back (which hurt like hell) and a Valium. After about 30min or so I felt better, my pain went from a 10 to a 5, the pain was relieved by about half, enough that I could stand and walk (slowly) and get some sleep when I got home. I havent slept good in days. Anyway, I am still in bed but now have a prescription for Valium and pain killers and the Dr says about 3 days and maybe a chiropractor visit monday and I should be back to normal.

That's funny; that's what it takes to get me to watch Three's Company too!!

I hope you take full advantage of the meds and cue up some good horror movies...or more Three's Company.

Take good care of yourself, Spooky. You have my best wishes for a very speedy recovery. :)
Let us know what the chiropractor says.
