have you never seen the TV series?

The family are monsters, the dad is a Frankenstein, the mom is a vampiress, the kid is a wolfman, the grandpa is Dracula and the niece is "normal" human.....

Sounds like Eddie might be retarded or in a wheelchair or something for this new TV series....

I used to watch the old series all the time. I just thought for this new one they might become monsters or pretend to be them to make Eddie feel normal because he's born looking like a werewolfor something. That's too weird though I think.

I'm quite disappointed! Seems the cast is going to look like regular humans. Where's the fun in that?

Here's the first image of the cast...

Good call. It does seem like something the Brits would do.

If they aren't going to make them actual monsters why wouldn't they just make a series based on the Addams instead of the Munsters?

Well this is just, I have no no words.

Why don't we just take old westerns and have them take place in a modern city? And the characters fight with squirt guns. That wouldn't ruin the whole point at all.

They sort of did that with Firefly, which is one of my most favoritist series ever.

Actually, a lot of movies and TV we know and love are just shows from earlier generations with the characters placed in a new environment. I saw a preview at the new Batman movie for a series that takes place in a bar, I instantly thought Cheers. I guess I'll reserve judgement until I see it. Still, would have liked to seen a monster looking Herman Munster.

Well... seems NBC has dropped the idea of doing a new Munsters series. Instead, they are going to show the pilot as a one hour Halloween special on the 26th.

I had high hopes for a new show that played off of one of my childhood favorites. C'est la vie.

Thanks for the update Nevermore, I'm going to watch.

I have the complete original series with hours of extras.

Love that family!

The more I watch Mockingbird Lane the more I like it. It is now definitely on my yearly watch list. It's actually really clever, and dark. I want to see more of Grandpa Dracula.

I also loved watching The Munsters as a kid and I still do to this very day. That is one television show that you can never get tired of seeing. It's so funny.

I got bored so I decided to browse the Halloween forums. Thought I'd just post this amusing animated .gif. Why is Herman breaking a guitar? It's just so random, but I guess it's being taken out of context.
