SA-WEET!

Found a breeder in Arkansas who raised cougars, but for some strange reason my wife says I can't have one.

Do I need to be the one to state the obvious?

Getting the cougar would solve the wife issue. Either she leaves or the cougar gets rid of her.

I couldn't help but laugh at your comment Boogeyman.

In all seriousness, as cool as it would be to have an exotic cat as a pet, I fear it would be too dangerous for my domestic cats. Even a small wild cat like a Black Footed Cat, Geoferry's Cat or a Sand Cat would probably be too aggressive.

But there is a local zoo I like to go to and we have season passes, and we know a pretty cool guy who actually does have a real cougar. Raised him from a cub. I know a lot of people talk bad about having an exotic cat, but they have a pretty strong bond that is not unlike the bond we share with our domestic animals.

At this stage of the game, I guess my wife IS a cougar!

I've always liked big cats and wolves. I've actually played with lions and tigers down in Florida at a private animal preserve some friends run. Being tackled by a 300 pound Bengal tiger is an experience. They can get pretty rough, but it's worth the trade off to have fun. What's a few dozen MORE stitches?? My arms and torso look like Frankenstein's Monster anyway!

Near my home here in Georgia a friend has a 100 pound cougar who gets up in your lap when you come over. He rubs all over you like he's marking his territory and is just a really big spoiled cat in every sense of the word.

When cats get that big and you pet or rub them, you realize how muscular these animals are and yet they behave by and large like your Tabby at home. Needless to say they eat a lot more. So you better be able to afford to feed them.

I think they are magnificent, but I would not care to cozy up to one of them.
