Simple Press Board Masks

Post by Corvus Kulde » Mon Oct 12, 2009 2:01 am

These guys don't need much explanation. Grab your scissors, fold in half, and unleash the minions of your mind. I painted these white then gave them a coat of glow in the dark paint. Use as mask or decoration. They look brilliant under black light! I'll try to get some pics of that.

if these masks are done right (creatively placed) they look really good :)
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Here's one I made just the other night under Black light. My current favourite. I call him Smiley.

That's what I thought when I first started. It wouldn't be so hard to paint some burlap in the glow paint. Ideas ideas....

Here's a crow mask I'm working on. He still needs paint and I'm thinking of adding a strip of black feathered boa to the edges.

This will be the set-up on our porch behind the gypsy table. Just another part of her menagerie.

Today was the first day we could get down to business with the decorating. It's been pretty cool and wet here and today the sun finally came out. The black-light set looks pretty good in the "Gypsy's Menagerie" that was our front porch.
