Back when I was on the high school debate team, after every tournament we would get absolutely plastered and watch the Exorcist. So that one is a must. Halloween the original is a favorite of mine but I don't know about for a party.
I like Madam Hooch's idea of the classics. Bela Lugosi as Dracula: Ahh, zee children of zee night... listen what music they make!
It does not get much better than that.

Great choice Nostalgiascape I think almost anything is good I had a kids party and they were all 6 or so. SO my list was as followed

Monster House
well it kept there attention though most of the first one.

Night of the living....okay i'll stop, lol. Bad Hauntmaster! Although if you skimp a little more clothing off of Elvira....
