"Bring In the Night" our Halloween party Oct. 3rd 2009 :)

Post by adrian » Wed Sep 09, 2009 11:35 am

To kick of the Halloween season this year (in which we have 5 saturdays in October) we're hosting a kick off party at our fire pit October 3rd.

Let me explain a little.. we've worked hard on our fire pit and it looks like HGTV had a baby with Are You Affraid of the Dark? :) it looks really good.

Our party is going to be a puff-n-stuff party in which every one brings halloween dishes to eat.. good food and friends. drinks as well
Bring In the Night's them will be everywhere the people are considering that it is a strict must that all guests and host will be wearing nothing other than jet black. no images, no logos, no pictures; shoes,pants, belts, shirts, caps, jewelry, ect. if its on you its black! :)

sound fun? let me know what you think and maybe throw some ideas (food, decor, music,ect) that could be helpful and fun! this is an adult party so there will be drinks so don't hold back on me :) thanks
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I think this is a great idea Adrian i might have to steal it from you One thing i like to do for halloween is use large pumpkins for serving bowls stick some ice and beers in there and your in business and for party favors OrientalTrading.com has these great little black tin coffins with bone shaped mints in the inside They have R.I.P with a skull and crossbones design on the front i'm using them this year for my party Well i hope that helps and good luck with all your parties

at our "scary" party i served bloody marys....i also make a punch every year and lately i've been making "sangria" (the italian word for blood). at the halloween store they have these really cool bottle labels, like "blood" and "venom" etc. they're cheap too. about $4 for a set of 8 or 10. i actually saw them at the dollar tree store last year for a buck! they even make a size for 2 liter bottles too.
