HIPPIELUVN'S HALLOWEEN HORRORTHON 2015

That's right boys and girls—it's that time of year again...

HIPPIELUVN'S HALLOWEEN HORRORTHON has returned

Image

Hope you all had a wonderful year...

I'm beginning a bit earlier than usual...

There are a few reasons for this change...

The movie chosen to begin this year's horrorthon...

Was meant to coincide near the end of Burning Man Festival

Image

And to commemorate the recent passing of horror icon Sir Christopher Lee :(

Image

And so, last night I began this year's horrorthon...

By watching the movie that Sir Lee identified as his...

Personal favorite film from his own repertoire: The Wicker Man

Image

It was an eerily familiar film, existentially intense... Haha

Image

Hope you all have another amazing Halloween season 8)

I have Wicker Man on VHS, haven't watched it in years (I believe we have discussed it pretty thoroughly in other threads). I didn't know it was Christopher Lee's favorite among his films!

I have started my own horrorthon already, too. Yesterday I watched The Haunting (original version, b & w, Julie Harris).

I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is the same thing you all are seeing. I followed that link and saw four stories about scary dates (lasted about 30 minutes). Then I tried it again, and got a horror short made by students at an Indian acting school. Does either of those sound like what you all have seen? Nothing in either one included the image in the post above.

When I click the link, it goes to the intended YouTube video titled Selfie from Hell

Yes, it goes to that for me, too, but then it instantly switches to something else, as if "Selfie from Hell" were some type of internet channel that tons of people are using for scary homemade stuff. Oh, well. The same thing never seems to come up twice.

OK, try this link for the 'Selfie from Hell' video. Hippie must have been watching an embedded video and when he clicked over to Youtube to grab the url it had a timecode in it which took it to the end of the video, which then went to the next video.

Followed by a Sunday matinee at the Little Theatre of Alexandria

Tonight, I will watch a horror-comedy that I first saw last spring...

Image

During a late-night show in NYC's Greenwich Village: What We Do in the Shadows

Image

If you haven't seen this film, it's definitely a must-see, incredibly hilarious... Haha

I heard about that one! I think it played one of the art houses in Nashville. I would love to see it!
