What Halloween/horror movie are you watching or the last one you watched?

For me, the last one I watched was Halloween (2007), next one I'm watching is House of 1,000 Corpses.

Yesterday I watched The Last Exorcism, II. I prefer the first one, but the girl who plays in both of them (Ashley Bell) is really good. #1 is found-footage style, but #2 is not. #2 makes good use of the New Orleans setting.

My daughter and I watched the most recent Halloween a couple of days back, but my favorite is still the original.

We just watched Hubie Halloween with Adam Sandler, it was basically the same character he played in The Waterboy but in a Halloween movie. I would compare it to the Madea Boo movies, in that it has no real plot, and it's unnecessarily long at almost 2hrs. but you do get some laughs from it.

Aside from that, I've been watching the Chucky movies when the kids are sleeping, because they're still too young to watch them yet. After that, I'm going to be watching the Saw films next week.

I'm about to screen the last 3 episodes of American Horror Story: 1984. Then I am going to top off the evening with "A Nightmare on Elm Street."

I'm conflicted...

I streamed the 'Hocus Pocus' themed, live event this evening, starring the original cast, hosted by Elvira and featuring an all-star line-up of guests and...it was awful.😟

I wanted to love it, I really, really did but...so awful.

Andy, I love Hocus Pocus and was a little sorry I couldn't stream that event. What made it so bad?

Right now I am in the middle of a "Blue Bloods" marathon, but I do plan to screen something horror related at some point before the Summer is out. I'm sort of taking a break from horror films right now. I do plan on screen one of my "Star Trek" series and maybe "Hill Street Blues." I tend to save all the horror, monster or super natural type stories towards the end of Summer and Fall.

It was a fundraising event disguised as a 'reunion'.

The writing (assuming someone took the time to write actual dialogue...) was haphazard and came across very forced, and since it was streaming during peak quarantine the videography was bad, really bad.

It jumped back and forth between the actors in their own studios (which were probably just rooms in their homes with green screen) that had cringeworthy digital backgrounds.

That being said, the mere presence of the original cast members, in costume & in character, was it's only saving grace.

I'd give it a 3 on a scale of 10.

Hey, if you all haven't seen it, please check out Love and Monsters! Not strictly speaking a Halloween movie, but it does have monsters, so I thought it would be OK to pitch it here. It is funny and has a lot of heart, as well as a positive message. Buy it on DVD or watch for it on streaming services. Our whole family loved this film!

Nothing wrong with a little horror / comedy. Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows" is a horror comedy that I really enjoyed. I went to see it at the Harvest Moon Drive-In in Gibson City, ill the year it came out, and I now have it on DVD. Great soundtrack to that film.

I also have "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein" on DVD.
