Driving and looking at fall color leaves or walking in a maze?

I'm looking forward to a good autumn drive to look at the leaves, so I'm going with that.

Skeletons or Zombies?

Here on the left coast, the maple trees and some of the aspens are starting to change color in earnest.

On my drive over the coastal mountains yesterday I had my first strong feeling that the seasons are changing, until I got to the coast, where it was hot and sunny.

It was a bit disconcerting.

Late summer or early autumn?

My answer actually depends on what kind of summer I had.
But this year I don't mind if Autumn comes earlier because I had a <deleted> summer, so early autumn it is!
But if it rained all summer and we're finally getting nice days...late summer is nice. Fall came too early last year and I didn't feel like we even HAD a summer.
And if it's a nice summer I'd like to last. So hard to choose honestly. Of course, if it's been hot and dry all summer...I'm definitely ready for Fall.
