Whew! You ate this?? *choke*
You are brave!

Rally's is pretty good, and Mug n Bun where I can still order from my car in the parking lot from the menu box. We also have Syd's Drive In where they have cruise-ins in the summer time. Great burgers and root beer and huge fries at both places!

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

IMO, the best fast-food chicken, hands down, no contest, is Chick Filet (not sure how they spell it, maybe Chic Fil-a). I don't know if you all have them up North, though. They are prominent in the South. You can't go there on a Sunday, though. They are closed on Sundays.

I also like Subway. I would probably like Quiznos just as well, but I think Subway is a little cheaper. Sonic can be good, too.

BTW, if you ever do make it to a Chick Filet, be sure to order their lemonade. It is made fresh, not ersatz, and it is to die for. Their lemon ice box pie is excellent, too.

Chick-Fil-A is good!

SubWay is okay, but I do prefer some subs from Italian family-owned restaurants.

Grilled KFC is so so good!

ON west Jefforson Street in Joliet, there's a Submarine Dock II and a Mr. Submarine. Both places have great sub sanwiches, but Submarind Dock II has a Gyros sanwich that just won't quit. If you order the sanwich, you get close to half a pount of gyros meat wrapped in a pita, and your side order (fried mushroms, mots sticks, fries, etc) is extra. If you order the platter, they give you two pitas, about a pount of the meat, and free side order and drink for abot 5 bucks.

Gyro sanwich is included with lamb meat, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and tzatziki sauce on pita bread.

It's really good!!!

If you do not know what Tzatziki is.... then it means Tzatziki is a Greek meze or appetizer, also used as a sauce for souvlaki and gyros...

Oh, I love gyros. The main place I eat them, though, is at the Renaissance Fair in the spring. We do have a couple of fast-food places here that specialize in them. For some reason, I haven't gone to those places. I keep saying I will, and then I don't.

I think my all time favorite fast-food menu items is the Gyros sanwich. Kronos makes the best, but they only distribute to restaurants. I like my Gyros meat extra well done with onions and sour cream.

Or at least I use to when I could actualy eat a Gyros sanwich.

I believe that "Gyros" came from Greece, right? I heard Greece has plenty of good foods over there! I wish to go there on my vacation! :D

I know you never had lamb meat in the past, but you should give it a try. ;) You can always find good Gyros at both Italian and Greek restaurants. :)
