That guy is totaly insane. At lest he'll be locked up for a little over 2 years. I've hear simular stories about paramedics, fire fighters and cops. One time, I read about two police officers who came to answer a "domestic disturbance" call at an apartment complex, and when they got there the neighbors pushed a refrigerator down the stairs at them.

Thay just got it in their heads that the building was their "turf," and no cop was going to come in and tell them what to do. There are many people who simply think they are above obeying any laws.

Same thing to Roman Emperor, Julius Caesar, himself who thinks he's the above the law in Rome.

And also, Mark Antony was Julius Caesar's loyal general... after Caesar died, then Mark Antony became the emperor of Rome, right?

I assume it's ecause the incident took place in England, and in England they dial 999 for emergencies instead of 911 like we do.
I could be wrong, but that's what it seemed like tome when I read the article.

What a freak that guy is. He needs to stay in jail longer than 2 years.

Yeah unfortunatly this stuff happens more than anyone knows...I've been in the fire dept. for a little over 4 years and I've already been to two of these calls and I know the cops go to a few of these every year...Scary stuff.

I ran with the local Volunteer Fire Department for about 2 years before I moved out of that town. I think the scariest moment for me was when we were burning a house ( If some one wants to have an old house torn down, they will see if the fire dept might want to use it to train on, and then burn it to the ground. It saves money on contractors to do the job) as a practice exercise, and I was the back up to the Nozzel Man. The floor under me gave way, and i had to hang on to the fire hose to keep from ending up in the basement. Two guys had to pull me out of the floor, and at that point we decided to let it go.
I was also at an oil refinery that exploded back in July of 84. I was part of a crew spraying down a valve to keep it cool so the fuel in the tank that that valve was holding back wouldn't explode.

Wow, that's intense Mike

. I have the utmost respect for volunteer firefighters and cops. I think people take them for granted and don't realize how dangerous and life-risking their jobs can be.
