Computer Virus

Post by iHaunt » Wed Dec 09, 2009 3:55 pm

Whoever creates these damn virus programs and sends them out need to be taken out, hung by their balls, have their nails ripped out, every inch of their skin removed with a metal grinder, covered in salt then set on fire!

End rant.

Well I'm having to reformat 2 computers in the house. I'll be out for a little while they get them all fixed up. I have one working obviously, and it is being used to get another one done. Hopefully will be done tomorrow. :thumleft:

hope all goes well for you man!
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

My computer is working great so far.... I had no idea how I got virus in my computer. The repair guy told me it must be one of my family or friends using my computer. But if I do have any problems with my computer again, then I have to call my telephone company to see what is going on. Even, if I need the repair man again I have to call him.

Umm... iHaunt? Do you by any chance use the Avast virus scanner on those computers?

A couple of days ago that program started flagging dozens of programs on my computers
as being infected. These were programs that I've been using for years with no problem. I
tried dismissing the warnings but Avast deleted some of them anyway.

I turned the scanner off and went online to find out what was going on. Turns out, for a
period of 24 hours, Avast went amok. Bad virus definitions. The program was throwing out
false-positives on hundreds of common programs.

I was one of the lucky ones who caught it early and didn't lose the use of my computers. I
was just wondering if that's what happened to you?

Both computers are working great now! :D I already had anti-virus program to block all types of viruses. But, nothing is happenning at this moment... I hope everything will be fine. ;)

When I typed something like that the other days, and it was reading like this.... for example, @&%^$(@_#&$%#$

So well, it's all good right now. No worries at all. :)
