HELP! I accidentally deleted my CD/DVD Drive!!!

This is a bit more techie oriented, but thought it would be useful for some things!

I was deleting unneeded files on my computer and I accidentally deleted my CD/DVD Drive and now I can't play DVD's or any type of disk on my PC, can anyone help?

Did you delete a shortcut to it? It's pretty hard to actually make the drive itself disappear. If it did, try restarting the computer and see if it's recognized again.

Hey, I'd be glad to try and help you. This is very rare, and very difficult to do by mistake.

Can you tell us what operating system you have?

If he hasn't figured it out by now... that would be terrible.
