It is hard to believe how close Halloween is now! The year has flown - even faster than previous years it seems.

Time flies! This summer really has flown by, only a couple more weeks or so until Labor Day and after that it's all systems go as far as I'm concerned. Starting to get my planning going for my decor this year! Everything is out in the craft stores.

Already been Halloween shopping! Finding it difficult to refrain from going wild because I am still on maternity leave, and car insurance is due next month... I splurged on some cast iron keys and a new skull for my collection... sometimes I warn people about my skull collection, so they don't freak out and think I worship Satan. I just love the historical symbolism of skulls and mortality.

The last time that I moved I discarded a few medical school skull models.

I like to imagine that a dumpster-diver or a landfill worker got a scare from them. :)

We purchased a new Christmas tree for 2017 back in May. They said it would ship in June. It arrived today (Aug 17, 2017) and Maria's suggestion was:
Let's set it up and make it a Halloween tree until November. ;-)

Time will tell.

We have record breaking heat going on down here in New Orleans, I'm so over it...bring on the fall aready!!
This morning when I woke up and the sky was all dark and cloudy, I knew right then and there that this was going to be a lovely day.

Hi MacPhantom,
How is everything in your neck of the woods? We are doing pretty good, my husband & I are still working and have not gotten the covid yet, his work has had 6 people so far get it but they are in a different part of the building.
I am still going to decorate this year but I don't think we will get any Trick or Treaters, it's so sad, it's on a Saturday and the time change and a full moon, I think, lol.

We're having a bit of cool and damp weather today and the longing for autumn is overwhelming to say the least.

Well, I finaly got myself a new set of wheels, so I'll be headed up to Green Lake Wisconsin in September to take a few photos.
