We gave out so much candy for Trunk or Treat that I need to buy more today. Ours is mostly chocolate, too.

I just became aware halloween.com also has a facebook page. We should visit that tonight.

I had 3 groups of ToTers yesterday, and they all came later in the afternoon, just as the temps started to drop.

It was frigid here, too, but TOTing was brisk. We got about 60 between 5 & 8, then shut down the yard haunt to go inside, thaw out, and eat chili. Even with the porch light off, we got a couple more knocks at the door, but we didn't answer because we'd already given away two bowls of candy and wanted to save back a little for ourselves.

We actually had a blizzard on Halloween, and I'm talking ToTers riding on sleds, and the temps were down to 19 degrees by sun set. It's supposed to that cold again by Thursday.

We've had flurries in October before, but what we had on Halloween was unprecedented, to say the least. I'm talking 2 inches of snow, ToTers using sleds, January like temps and a howling wind. I think the local grammar school closed that day, too. Driving was a nightmare, and my Internet news feed and CBS radio were issuing snow warnings and travelers advisories. The weird part was that there were still leaves on the trees, many of which were still green. It was the most surreal scene I ever saw in my life.
