Faded Signs

Post by Hallownerd » Mon Sep 01, 2008 12:36 am

These are really creepy when you think of what these things might have seen in their day and what might have happened at the advertised places. Just thought it would be appropriate to put up on these forums.

Aw how depressing. I love seeing all those old signs but like you said it just makes you wonder what it was like when those signs were still being used. I just hate seeing things become uncared for.

Well, I guess, but I was talking about how something eerie might have happened at those places to make them become abandoned. Kind of like the Bates Motel theory, I think (I've never seen the movie, but I think it's about an abandoned hotel and it got that way because there was a ghost in it, I think?).

Ah okay I see where you were going. Either way it's equally intriguing. There very well could've been some eerie reason why those places were left like that. History is a fascinating thing.

You mean Psycho? I have only seen the original. Never the sequels or remake. But anyways, it is about a murderer that owns a motel.

I know. My dad told me the main parts like 3 years ago, I just forgot. Anyway, I'm saying most of these are hotels, so they reminded me of that story, because something scary or eerie might have happened at those places to have made people abandon them.

Those were cool!! I totally understand what you mean, I think the same way when I see a sign like that, especially an old drive-in sign. (Old drive-in creep me out-well, existing drive-in creep me out, too). Thanks for those! I enjoyed.
