Always wanted to try

Always wanted to try and make Jello Pudding with Green Food Dye in it. Has that ever worked for anyone in here?

Never used dye NOS, but if you like pistachio pudding it's already green!

Try this pistachio ambrosia

Post by california ghoul » Mon Aug 11, 2008 9:31 pm

Pistachio pudding is sooo yummy! At Thanksgiving we always make a pistachio ambrosia.

2 regular size packets of pistachio pudding (we use Jell-o brand)
1 can of Dole crushed pineapple (DRAINED WELL!!)...we love pineapple, so you can add less
1 tub of regular Cool Whip
1/2 bag of small size marshmallows

Now, my brother and I love to add the marshmallows to the mixture and let it sit overnight, so the marshmallows are kinda melted, but my mom likes her marshmallows whole, so she adds them last minute...it's all up to you! Either way this dessert is always a hit!
I can't think of anything cute to make it Halloween-y without ruining the taste, but the fact that it's green it Halloween-y enough I guess...maybe add some Halloween PEEP marshmallow candies to the top, so people know there is marshmallow in it!!

i don't see why adding green to pudding wouldn't work, as long as it's vanilla pudding. i add food coloring to my vanilla frosting for my cakes all the time. for halloween i usually do chocolate cupcakes w/ purple, orange, or green frosting
trick or treat

You will not be disappointed! It's a hit at our thanksgiving dinners every year.
