Bachelor Grove Cemetery B

Post by Pumpkin_Man » Tue Oct 12, 2010 10:14 am

Here is the 2nd batch of photos. Of course I shot a lot more then will be featured on this web site. This was one of the most fun 'haunted road trips' I was ever on.

Along the out side of the rear fence of the cemetery is this creepy little path that was once used by picknickers and the like who use to fish in the pond. That's no longer possible any more, however as the pond is completely overgrown with algie. Mosquitos have made it a breeding ground.

Off in the distance, you catch sight of the Fulton monument. The Fulton is the largest and thus far the only monument in Bachelor Grove that was nos spray painted, knocked over or vandlized in some way.

Here is a close up of the Fulton monument where lies an 'Infant Daughter" who died many years ago, though the exact date is not inscribed on the tomb stone. Many have claimed to hear a baby crying. Many also leave toys, pacifiers and other baby items to honor the little one who was thust into her grave before she outgrew a cradle. One of the more tragic Bachelor Grove stories.

Yes it is, Witchy. People have been leaving toys and other baby items there for many years. There's no date on the tomb stone, but I think the death date fo that baby was in the 20s or 30s.

I sure will, iHaunt. Also, I still have the photos I shot at the Aux Sable Cemetery that I have not posted yet. That place is suposedly even more haunted then Moon Point.

So, that's your next trip to another cemetery? Or, have you been there in Aux Sable before?

I've already been to Aux Sable. I visited there around the same time I went "haunting" to Bachelors Grove and Moon Point. I just didn't get around to posting the pictures. I thought I would wait and do that to alleviate some of the post Christmas Winter boredom next month.

I would love to see the pics of Penhurst. Better yet, I would like to take some pics of the place on a 'haunted road trip."

Again, where is penhurst located?

Thanks for the nice compliment. I enjoyed taking them.

Hopefully I will be able to swing a 'haunted roat trip' during October.
