Do you have a special way to carve a pumpkin?

Paint your own Pumpkin?

Post by iHaunt » Sun Sep 12, 2010 12:21 am

I got an idea to post this new thread because I thought it was a great thing to paint your own pumpkins in any kinds of colors, such black, white, green, purple and more!!! It would be more cool to carve your own pumpkins after you've painted them all! :D

My daughter did this. I really think a pumpkin is wasted if not carved and/or eaten.

I think it's a blue and white blob, it was hard for me to understand what she was saying.

I lay odds her daughter did that master piece at school & she thought it was a waste since they didn't carve it or cook it, but that is just my guess. :?
I think it's cute, but what do I know!! 8)

When I think of painting pumpkins, I usually think of people painting faces on pumpkins as opposed to carving them. I think it's a good idea if someone's allergic to pumpkins.
You could always paint AND carve them. Either carve it first, or wait until the paint dries and carve it.
I've seen pumpkins that are prepainted. Although the designs are cute, it kind of takes away from the fun of doing your own design.
Funny though, I usually carve my pumpkins. Even though it does create an irritation on my skin. But after I wash my hands I'm fine. Squash tends to do the same thing, and pumpkins are a type of squash.
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

It was the greatest painted pumpkin that has ever been painted. We left it on the back porch well into December, when some desperate squirrel started eating it.

I do like when painting and carving is mixed, like this....
