Too much candy left over?

Post by NeverMore » Tue Nov 03, 2009 11:27 am

.
If you have too much candy left over, and don't want to be tempted by it, take it to a local
participating dentist and sell it to them for $1 a pound. Check the link to see if there's a
location near you.

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

My roomie took the remainders to work. GRRRRRR! But I'll definitely buy more.

I thought your roomie wasn't into Halloween? That's some nerve to take the last of the
candy.

I'm down to my last few pieces of almond M&Ms. Wahhh! No more candy till next year. I've
put on a couple pounds as it is :(

I had a lot of TOTers this year, so there was not as much candy left over as I had in the past, but I still had a pretty good ammount to bring into work yesterday morning. I don't keep it around, because I don't want to eat it all myself.

That is rather hypocritical of the guy, to take the remainder of the TOT candy.

Adrian, I would have sent it to you, but unfortunately I already gave it away at work, and the unopened bags were donated to a food drive. Besides, I don't know how well it would have kept if I mailed it all the way to Georgia.

That's what I mean. Now if I had them shipped to you in a refrigerated truck, but then that would be more expensive then the candy.

Chocolate can be kept up to a year in a freezer, three months unfrozen. So you could stick it in the freezer and pull it out at Christmas.

Right now the only candy we have leftover are some Sour Patch Kids. We also have some chips, but they're chips; it's not hard to use those up. The snack size is actually more convient than the full size.

Usually there isn't much trouble with leftover candy, since there's always a lot of people around.

That's good to know, writerpatrick, but you know the old saying "A moment on the lips, a life time on the hips." I just went through unimaginable hell with my gastric bypass, in and out of hospitals all Summer long, bleading ulcer, Gout, violent vomiting every time I eat too much or too fast. The good news is I lost over 120 pounds as of my last weigh-in, and I do NOT, after going through all that, want to gain the weight back. So I will donate all the rest of my left over candy to a food drive. I have about 5 Reeses peanut butter cups and 3 Butterfingers that I'll keep. The rest goes to the food drive.
