Here's a small lantern hanging from a rafter on the porch at sunset.

That spider's web is fab, Andy! So is the lantern. :)

I've been meaning to stop for a shot of this view for a while.
When the fog is dense and impenetrable (like Mac's ramblings...) it surrounds this peak not far from home, and it looks like an island in the sky.
I finally stopped this morning on my way in to work.

I like to think of photos as a moment frozen in time, and for whatever reason, that appeals to me.

Spooky is apparently frozen under a power transmission route :?

Probably not, I used to play around those things when I was kid and look how I turned out!

If you stand underneath one of the towers with a fluorescent tube the ambient current will light it up in your hands.

Pretty cool.

Despite the frigid weather I made it to the local nursery and picked up a truck full of spring goodness.

The place has been around for a few generations and has a ton of charm and their plants are always well tended.

We got everything spread out around the yard and planted yesterday.

Now all that needs to happen is spring needs to show up. The wind was so bad it ripped the <deleted> out of the poppies that were planted and this week is supposed to be worse. Rain, lows in the 40's and wind wind wind.

Whatever. It looks like spring, when seen from inside, beside a roaring fireplace.
