We still have a ways to go yet, but the approach is getting ever so closer. We are in the 2nd full week of July already. When I get back from my vacation in August, I'll bet that there will be Halloween merchandise in the local drug store.

I was in Hobby Lobby today and they have all of their Harvest stuff out. Some Halloween pumpkins. Anyway, just walking up and down the rows, smelling the pinecones and sented things. MMmmmmm. It really put me into that Fall mood.

I hope this weekend, maybe next weekend that I really can't tell because when my family is going away on vacation to NC for the family reunion then me and my girlfriend will start to think what to do to add something really cool for Halloween this year. I always like to keep myself busy alone with my gf while no one is around at home. ;)

I usualy start looking for any Halloween decoration additions in mid August. In July I'm still in the Summer "groove," but that doesn'tm eant hat I don't think in terms of Halloween once in a while. Unfortunately smoke bombs are out of the question. My town just passed an ordinance against all firework of every kind. I was confronted by a cop for lighting off a smoke bomb on the day before the 4th. It's a HUGE fine.

But you can rest assured I will find somethign else to replace it with.

Mike, did you get a warning from cop? Did he say the firework was illegal in Illinois?

Yes, he did say the firework was illegal in Ill, but he lied. Smoke devices and other smaller items are perfectly leagal, but the town does have an ordinance against them.

iHaunt, the cop either lied to me, or didn't know completely about Illinois fireworks laws. In any case, the town actualy had an ordinance against smoke bombs within the town limits, so I have to really watch my "Ps" and "Qs" or go without. I am thinking about doing something in place of the smoke bombs, however since I couldn't find any orange ones anyway.

I know some states do against the laws for using fireworks.... but smoke bombs are okay? I thought smoke bombs are fine because they don't make any noise at all! :?
