wow this is getting crazy
i'm the EXACT same way.. at night i retire inside to the traditional scary house decor on the inside

door covers, plastic bats, ect.
outside though.. is a very detailed brutal scene that leads to the most dreadfully exciting graveyard!!
this is cool!
i'll post some pics of mine when i'm finished

no kidding
the cool thing is... is at night on the indside. when all the lights are out (except the black lights and other planned ones) and all thats lit are candles.. now the traditional family halloween look turned into a "wow this just became a little 'hits close to home' spooky

Once again, I have the same situation. I always love to have it a little spooky in the house on Halloween night. Lights out...candles flickering creating spooky shadows dancing across the walls....and the smell of the slightly burning Jack-o-Lanterns and the cool October air...Perfect..

I am doing the glitter thing this year. I have glittered 7 skulls and a huge pumpkin. I am using very fine orange, black and silver dusting glitter. I still have a couple of candle sticks and a skeleton to do. My goal is to have this sparkling haunted mansion thing going on in the house. All black with touches of orange and silver. So far So good.
I did buy this great costume for my little Maltese dog. It is a little Headless Horseman that rides on his back. Pumpkin in his hand and all!! It is so funny! It fits on with a little harness.
My DD is this beautiful Little Red Riding Hood. I caved and got the wolf/ granny costume to go out TOTing with her. It is ok. She is excited.
12 yr old son is going as an illegal alien. A space man in a prison outfit. Funny too.

That is where I got the idea!! $150 for a glittered skeleton. $50 for a skull!! I made my own. I use old things that I had that were in need of the trash or repair. Paid about $10 for glue and glitter and Presto!!! Perfect knock-offs Martha herself would be proud of!!!
I hope the little costume is as cute in person. Last year he was a skunk. He got more attention TOTing than my kids!!!

Glittering sounds like a good idea. If possible, it is so much better to make things because it is more fun and a lot cheaper than buying what stores have to offer. I bet things get messy with all that glitter though!

Hi,
I guess Halloween is not profitable enough for stores so they prefer to get ready for Christmas, but the online site are giving Halloween the respect he deserves. And even though it is not as great as going to the stores it is still a lot of fun and much cheaper.
Since I love Halloween, I decided to do a little research of which costumes are hot for this year and where I can find them at affordable prices. I enjoyed that research so much that I decided to create my own internet site. This site contains recommendations of what are the hottest costume this year for kids and for adults, it also contains articles about this year trands, and it has links to some of the best on-line costume shop with the best prices, discount coupons and much more.
If you want to make your life a little easier this year and enjoy a little of Halloween spirit I suggest you check the site.
The page link is:

Check it out and if you have any comments or suggestions, I will be happy to hear.
