That's a good idea Murf. Just get a little bit more out each year. :) With all the decorations I have now I'll probably be set for life, but you never know, I'll probably end up getting more stuff later on down the road. lol

You bet, just need to come up with a new trick to replace the Table of Terror from last year.

Sigh........

Living in an Apt means not being able to put too much out before the 31st for fear of theft, so we had to get most of the stuff set up before the TOTs got here.....so that means last minute stress and a little panic. So as a result I wasnt able to get some stuff out. I finished the brick "walls" but I mismatched the paint and ended up with slightly pink bricks on one column but at night you couldnt really tell, I didnt get the sconces I made mounted and so the flickering lights never made it to the display. The wind picked up (we havent had any wind all week) so the ground fog just blew all over and knocked down my brick pillars, so last minute clamps were fashioned out of wire hangers. I think the neighbors heard me cussing somewhat loudly when everything started falling apart but in the end we made due.

We did get most of it out and it was pretty cool but one of my DVD players decided it didnt want to play the Ghostly Apparitions DVD I had been planning to use, of course it was willing to play every other DVD I didnt want to use so I ended up using the Unliving Portraits DVD :(

I got a couple "how did you do that?" questions from parents and a few "thats not scary" from some kids but all in all I enjoyed it just wish we had got more TOTs to make it really worth the effort, if we live in these apartments next year I will severely cut back on the decorating, it just isnt worth the effort, we had the same problems the two years before this in the old apartments too, no kids trick or treating but tons of kids annoying me during any other day running around and making noise.

My wife did a great job at setting up the pumpkin patch and the talking pumpkins even tho she felt sick and was under the weather. She's a trooper.

We got about 15 people and all except one group seemed to enjoy the display, my coffin banger spooked one lady and the kids liked the pumpkin patch. One group of people came, grabbed hand fulls of candy, took all the glowing bracelets and left with out looking at the display, I guess theres always "those" people.

Sorry to hear that Spooky. If anyone deserves their spot in the sun it's you, with all that awesome work you did. I was still carving pumpkins well into ToT time, spent even longer taking pictures. Seems like there's never enough time.

Regardless of the turnout it was a success.

You and your family enjoyed it and that's what counts.

..and any women who would put up with your shenanigans is a trooper.
