I was not told by any mean person that I was too old, but for some reason when I was 13, I felt really self consience about it, and came to that decision on my own. I decided that from that time on, I would be the one giving out the candy instead of going to get it, but I do miss it now, and I wish Ihad at least waited until I was in HS before I quit going TOTing.

I'm totally going to continue going trick or treating until people stop giving me candy, lol. This year will be the first year in awhile that I haven't gone. We went last year (I was 21 at the time) and people gave us plenty of candy! I was so surprised! But this year, my husband and I are newlyweds, and we decided it would be fun to stay home and dress up and decorate the house, since it's our first year living together.
The height might help...I'm 5'3, and probably could pass for a high schooler...maybe. My husband is probably worse off, but when he shaves, he looks 16! lol

ANYONE who comes to my door on Halloween gets a piece of candy if he or she want's one. Last Halloween I was having some work done on my house, and all the construciton guys got Tootsie Pops to bring home to their kids.
If a neighbor comes by just for a chat, or anyone else who comes to the door for what eve rreason, I allways offer a piece of Halloween candy in the spirit of Trick or Treat.

My dad is 49 and his partner is 47 and they are going to dress up this year. I infected my dad, unwillingly I might add, with the Halloween spirit. My dad's partner has two 11 year old girls and I have an 8 year old brother so I'll be the oldest Trick or Treater in the group but not the oldest person in the group who dressed up.
I'm 14 and I'm going to be a Vampire with my brother and the two girls are being cats. I can tell this'll be fun.

If I had any children, I would probably put a costume on and go TOTing, too, but since I live alone, there's nobody there to answer the door and hand out candy. Not to mention that I will probably have plenty of candy left over after TOT is over, so I will get my Halloween jollies by answering the door wearing a set of vampire teeth as I pass out the candy this year. And after TOT is over, I'll light a fire in the fire place and screan some of my favorite horror flicks.

My 2 friends and I are 20-21 and we're going. The thing is, though, that we definitely don't look 20, me in particular; I could probably pass for a 16-year-old. I just hope there's no jerks who won't give us candy.

Well if it's any counselation to you, ANYONE, whether they're infant or over 100 years old, comes to my door on Halloween and says "Trick or Treat," he or she is getting a piece of candy. I con't car how old or young the TOTer is. I was done out of TOT when I was 13 by my own self consiousness. I refuse to make anyone else feel that way. So I don't know if you live in my neck of the woods or not, but if you do, and you ring my door bell, something will be deposited in your TOT bag.
TRADITION!!

Kids are expected to grow up way to quickly in today's society. I think Halloween is a way to hold on to that child in all of us!
I mean, really, who doesn't love candy?

I'm told I'm too old for trick-or-treating, and I'm only 15.
If adults are going...
Wow. That's just sad.
I will not be giving out candy to adults UNLESS they have children with them.
...
I'm not jealous. I swear.
