It snowed here last year, 2 weeks before Christmas, it was awesome since it hasn't snowed in some 27 years! The kids and I played in it for hours and built an igloo. Also, we don't really have nice trees here, just cactus so no leaves

Sorry I had no snow here for almost 10 years... imagine that?? Long time ago, I used to have about an inch to one inch snow here... but not at anymore.

VA is beginning to change its weather that is not likely it was before.

Goodbye Summer... Hello Fall!
- Football is back! (Pittsburgh beats Tennessee)
- New TV season is starting (Hello Heroes!)
- Air is getting cooler (I wish! We got another month of hot weather here)
- Tourists are going home (Why do they call it Tourist Season if you can't shoot 'em?)
- Can't think of anything else exciting that happens in the fall (wink, wink)

I
heartily agree with #4...
It was 100 yesterday, same today but is supposed to cool tomorrow (please God, o please), however the trees are turning and the oak is a stunning crimson already.

Here, the palm trees are... uhh... palming? I miss seeing the leaves change colors. [sigh]

I do love Summer, but I can't say that I'm sorry to see Summer of 09 go. I spent most of it in the hospital. Now I have a bleeding ulcer. Go figure. At any rate, I am going to be very happy when I have all these medical problems behind me. My sleep apnia is clearing up finaly, my diabetes is under better controll then it ever was, and I no longer have to take blood pressure meds any more, but now I have a whole bunch of other problems. Ulcer, Gout, throwing up if I eat any meat. WTF.

Still in the upper 70s, low 80s here. But it was perfect for working outside this weekend. Even got a bit of a sunburn. Was a bit weird seeing the clips from that New England game yesterday. Seemed like a lot of snow for this early in the year?

OH, man, don't mention the New England game! Our Titans humiliated themselves there (I didn't watch, just saw the clips). The snowstorm was just weird and didn't help our guys any.
We had frost last night. My tomatoes are officially done for the year. However, it's supposed to warm up by the end of the week--and rain. Bummer for the outdoor weekend festivities we have been hoping to do, corn maze, haunted hay ride, that sort of thing.

I just got home from the stadium. Saw my Chargers get pummeled again. I guess this isn't either ours or the Titans year. I'm so sad.
At least the Angels beat the Yankees, but it looks like my dream of a subway series is going down in flames with the Dodgers losing.
