Halloween Discussion Forums, Costumes, Horror!

I confess that I was tempted to watch 'White Christmas' on sunday, and you know that means I'm already packing away Halloween and diving into Christmas...but not after a respectful Thanksgiving.

Farewell Halloween 2008, I'm glad I met ya'!

...then again I still have 5 out the 6 pumpkins left that I didn't have time to carve.

I have one allocated for a Thanksgiving centerpiece but I might carve a good ol' JOL to ease my suffering this coming weekend.

I'm doing the exact same thing. I am making plans about how to keep the rabbits out of my pumpkin patch, I also have a party in the mix, and if my finances can abide it, I am going to "Trick or Treat" myself to a new car. Preferably a Mercury.

Aney, pumpkins also make great Thanksgiving decorations. I allways have an unmarked and uncarved pumpkin to use as a center piece on my Thanksgiving dinner table.

I'm ready for Thanksgiving too! Yeah, I got some rabbits in my garden, so I can't make them go away! Only my dog black lab would chase them away from my garden all the time! Hee hee... Maybe I need to put a scarecrow in my own garden because I do see some black crows in my garden eat something up.

Well, I do miss Halloween! But, not to worry because I keep Halloween in my mind for all year round!

That's how I am, HauntMaster. I allways watch at least one horror movie every week, and I observe "Little Halloween" every time the 13th of the mongh falls on a Friday.

I think I'll try the scare crow out for size. I don't have time to take care of a dog.

Maybe next year you need to build or buy a scare crow prop for your own pumpkin patch.

Yeah, I will never forget about the day of 13th on Friday in 2009.

There are 3 Friday the 13ths in 09 Feb 13th, March 13th and November 13th.

Yeah well you can keep the spirit of Halloween by taking you Halloween props and use them to scare away the rabbits.

I agree with ICE Witch I'm always looking forward but sad its all over I think it felt like Halloween was like a car on the road you see it and as quick as you saw it it was gone. But Not to many days till October then the new decorations will go up and NO ELECTION !!!!!!!

I certainly treat every Friday the 13th as "Little Halloween." I can't speak for everyone else on the forum, though I'm sure that all serious horror and macabre fans do something to keep in the "spooky" spirit when the 13th of the month falls on a Friday.

Besides that, Feburary 13th is the day the ramake or prequel (I don't know which) to Friday the 13th opens, and that date falls on a Friday, as does March 13th and November 13th of next year.

It will be interesting to see how things are on this forum when it gets closer to that day.

It was great posting here with you guys. I usually get hit by the Halloween bug sometime in late August, early Sept. I'll be back then!

Why don't you hang around here with us like some of the times? We'd like to see you again...
