If they are more advanced and intelligent than us and have far superior technology than why would they need the inferior race (us) to rebuild their ship?

I, for one, would love to see what another planet has to offer in terms of inported goods, especialy machinery or electronics. Just imagine a palm top with more computing power t hen the Kraig Super Computer.
