If I succeed in my quest to get a job this month I'll have to check out the nearest iParty!

My vacation starts this Friday, and I am very much looking forward to checking out some of those stores that are already selling Halloween merchandise.

I don't really have a favorite store for Halloween merchandise, iHaunt. I just enjoy cruising around and looking. Wal Mart often has a great selection of house and yard Halloween decorations, but they ususly don't put them out until late September. Besides, this is going to be the most broke Summer and Fall of my life. Mondy is going to be very tight for at least a year, so while Halloween will still be celebrated with all the enthusiasm of years past, and while I already have a lot of really nice decorations, this year's Halloween will have to be don on a 'shoe string' budget.

I went to the Dollar Tree near me and they had the same thing! I was so happy!!! I also saw a Halloween candy display in Albertson's. I feel so thankful that this HOT weather will be ending soon! Something to look forward to because it is very irritating, it makes things worse!

I was walking through Herberger's on Sunday and they had a table with ceramic dishes and bowls that were all Halloween stuff. Not anything I would want at this point, but it totally put a smile on my face because we have had this stupid heat wave all week and it reminded me that happier things would be coming soon!

We must have more than one thread on this subject. I know I posted somewhere earlier today that I saw aisles & aisles of Halloween decor at Old Time Pottery yesterday. I bought some new bat lights and a string of spider lights.

That's so cool! What color are the bat lights? Also, the color of spider lights? I'm curious.

The bat lights match some strings I already have. The bat bodies are holographic cardboard (but they seem to take the rain OK for a few weeks every Oct.) The outlines of their bodies & wings are in purple lights, and their eyes are blue lights.
The spider lights I haven't used yet. It is a string of ten. The bulbs are clear, but they appear to be inside the bodies of the spiders, which are different colors, and glittery (purple, orange, and green as seen through the packaging). Each spider appears to have a body about two inches long, and their legs have a spread appropriate to that body size.

Ohh, yeah! I know I had bat lights before, they're purple!

But, I've never had spider lights before.... got a pic or a link to point me out?
