I complete agree about licorice. My dad, on the other hand, loved it passionately. He would allways raid our ToT bags for anything that was licorice, and he was more then welcome to it. My grandmother on his side of the family actualy made home made licorice, and I had to eat some to be polite. IT didn't tast all to good, though.
At any rate, my father and older brother allways faught over the licorice, as th ey were both licorice fiends.

My dad loved it too! He used to eat a box of Bertie Bassett Liquorice Allsorts as a treat every now & then!

That puking guy is hilarious!
Licorice is pretty awful. Ranks right up there with the Peeps--Halloween, Easter, and every other occasion that they bring those nasty things out

I've never heard of Peeps before so just Googled them.
They're not nice then!

Peeps are basically marshmallow with colored surfaces, decorated for the different seasons. I would take them over licorice, but they are not the best candy around.

I think I have found the worst: my mom said that one year, someone threw loose saltine crackers in her TOT bag! My dad said it was probably some grouchy old man who was tired of answering the door

Yeah and I bet with all the candy being tossed on them, she probably had a bag full of cracker dust by the end of the night.

My dad said he always hated when he got either banana flavored taffy (or any taffy for that matter) and something that he described, which sounded to me like Gobbstoppers. I think I'll agree with both of those as being gross and disappointing.

The only time I ever saw Peeps was at Easter time, and I liked them as a decoration, but I didn't like eating them. In fact, I was never a huge fanof marshmellows in general. I enjoyed roasting them and eating them melted, and I love Rice Krispie Marxhmellow Treats. We call them Krispie Cookies, and they are an iron-clad family tradition at Thanksgiving.
