.
The tea light one looks more like the actual, original ones we have in our Gaslamp Quarter.
There are also a couple in front of the Whaley House. I can't believe people survived with
so little light at night 150 tears ago.

I would love that area!
In the little area of the city that I'm in, they have the old gas lamps, but they changed them over to electric.

I'm well impressed by the look of those, Spooky.... I've got some amber bulbs shaped like a flame that fit a standard socket which I think would work well inside them (Walmart, I think??), but I'm especially impressed by the ropework around the sides. Did you glue it or anything to keep it from sliding, or does it hold just by how you wrapped it?

Most of the lamps in the Gaslamp Quarter are electric now but they look just like the
originals. The existing original lamps just don't throw enough light, especially not in a
downtown environment.

Mac, I tied the ropes around the jar and glued the knots so they wouldnt slip. I just wrapped the rope until I liked the look.
I bought some amber Christmas lights I like the look of best, I'll probably use those. The flicker lights flicker but arent very bright
