Ummm...
Tell you what, let's see how comfortable you feel after you've been stalked, I mean really stalked, by someone you've met in an anonymous online forum. When someone you don't know IRL starts calling you, harrasing you, and posting pictures they took of you outside your house, you may get a wee bit nervous. Not that there's been any iPerson in this forum that's likely to do such a thing to any of us.
Anyways, the reason I'm still so protective of this nym is because I brought it over from Usenet where I had drawn the attention of the RIAA. Even had to change my so-called 'anonymous' provider because they threatened to turn over my info. I also went behind a proxy at that time. I actually hid behind it when first coming to this forum bcuz I figured if some shmuck from that other forum could connect my real info to that username then the feds definitely could do the same to this one.
It's not paranoia that makes me cautious, it's experience.
This being said... I'd like to offer some help to those looking for gifts.
Most everything I post to Pinterest takes you back to the source if you click on through. If the item is too expensive you may find something cheaper on that website. If you click on my username it will take you to the other boards where you may get other ideas. Just don't bother clicking on the 'Let's Spend Some $$$$' board. That stuff may break the spending limit rule?

I don't blame people for not giving out info on the internet, it take alot of trust. I've been doing this for 3 years, so I guess, it helps knowing no one has had issues giving their info to me.
But all in all it has been alot of fun, and everyone seems to love their gifts and the thought that went into them.
But you do have to also give the address to the gift givers right?

You send your mailing address in a PM to Witchy, she gives it to your victim.
So you really only share it with 2 people.
You could also get a mail box at a UPS store instead of using your home address

Sorry...didn't mean to ruffle feathers! And you are right, I haven't experienced that type of issue before. I guess I'm more of a trusting sort...hell, we even invited a homeless guy to live with us for a while...knew nothing about him (it worked out really well, too)
Again, I apologize Nevermore

No big. I was just splaining a little bit about why I'm so secretive. There was one person from here that got to know me IRL but seems to have disappeared. Where you at Harry 1?
As far as the homeless guy? Ha ha! A buddy of mine did the same thing. Came home from work one day and found his apartment cleared out. It's not just my own experiences that makes me non-trusting.

Good idea. I've done that in the past. I'll look into it for this year. If not this year, next.

I'm in if Nevermore does it

I'm a wee bit paranoid as well.
However, even if Nevermore elects not to participate, we still have the gift that keeps on giving with pictures of his crazy awesome pumpkin patch. When are you going to give us an update on that, by the way?
